So October is now a wrap and I wanted to see how the freehold market in has been doing in the last 6 months. I’m only going to focus on certain areas of Toronto but you can see they are generally rebounding. Quite a few communities are back on the positive end as you can see the majority of them from 6 months ago were in the double digit negatives but now trending upward. On the one year, you can see a clear discrepancy between communities such as Rosedale-Moore Park in C09 and Greenwood-Coxwell in E01. In fact, the appreciation of Rosedale-Moore Park hasn’t really moved much in the last 10 years where as other communities in other regions have gone up as much as 268% in that same time period. There’s various factors that causes this but I’ll get into that in another write-up. Each community can differ by a little or a lot and you won’t know until you carefully look into what affects them.
